Waterfront Wednesday - Happy 20th Birthday!

Pack your blankets and lawn chairs; Waterfront Wednesday is here again! Next Wednesday, June 29th, be ready to enjoy live entertainment in the summer sun (or rain).

WFPK’s Waterfront Wednesday is a free Louisville event that takes place on the last Wednesday of every month from April to September. Held at Waterfront Park next to the Big Four Bridge, this outdoor event features a range of live artists and musicians. This year Waterfront Wednesday celebrates its 20th birthday, bringing live entertainment to the people of Louisville (all the more reason to come out). The lawn opens at 5pm and music starts at 6 lasting to around 10 or 10.30pm. 

The Line Up 

Next Wednesday’s lineup features War, Bendigo Fletcher, and Wombo; it’s set to be an exciting evening! Continued sponsorship from various businesses and WFPK members keep the event ticketless and free to the public making it an excellent summer evening for the whole family! 

A range of festival food and local food trucks are due to be in attendance along with a bar offering soft drinks and alcoholic beverages. The event kindly asks that no pets are in attendance and that attendees do not bring their own alcohol or bring coolers. Attendees are permitted to bring their own food as long as they do not attempt to sneak in any prohibited items.

Coming from out of town? Unsure of where Waterfront Wednesday will be taking place? No worries! The Waterfront Development Corporation has the exact GPS coordinates and routes from every direction. So don’t worry about getting lost! A parking map is available on the Waterfront Wednesday website with Parkside Bikes returning with a designated parking area.

From their partnership in 2002, Louisville’s Waterfront Park and WFPK Independent Louisville have been showcasing local and up-and-coming national talents. Since its inception, this free event has become a staple in the Louisville community. Listed by the Southeast Tourism Society as one of their Top 20 Events, and having showcased artists like The Avett Brothers, Iron and Wine, and My Morning Jacket,Waterfront Wednesday is a fantastic way for the whole family to come together and enjoy something amazing.
