With it having been canceled and postponed over the duration of the pandemic, we are proud to see the re-emergence of this core event in the LGBTQ+ community; now set to be better than ever. So sit back, relax, and let us talk you through everything you need to know about the Kentuckiana Pride Festival and Parade!
General Information
As well as marking a celebration of the achievements made in the LGBTQ+ community of Louisville, the festival also seeks to educate leaders and promote social, economic, and health equity of Kentuckiana’s sexual and gender minorities.
Pride Festival boasts two stages of live entertainment and a local craft beer garden. The kids and family area is sure to keep the children entertained with its arts and crafts offering while local food trucks deliver mouthwatering dishes. You can also expect Kentucky’s finest artisan vendors to be in attendance.
The Parade
This year the Pride Festival kicks off with a brilliant parade on Saturday June 18th at 12pm. The parade begins in NULU and ends at the music site; the perfect way to get into the buzz of the pride spirit. Groups are encouraged to enter a float to showcase their organization, after all, the eyes of Louisville will be watching and cheering on! Be sure to look for the Aspire family!
Stonewall Main Stage
In true festival style, Pride features the famous Stonewall main stage. This year’s line up is certainly set to get you on your feet with an excellent range of acts set to perform including Tove Lo, the Louisville Gay Men’s Chorus, and Diasha McBride!
Kid's & Family Area
This family friendly event is proud to hold a fun kids and family area which is sure to entertain the kiddos. The area is open from 12pm to 5pm and houses lots of fun crafts and activities from face painting to coloring sheets.
Vendor Marketplace
This year there are a whopping 30 vendors at the festival covering a broad range of disciplines such as accounting, counseling, wellness, and art.
Vip Area
Why not be a VIP! This magical experience houses several great perks and bonuses compared with a standard ticket. VIP guests receive unlimited soda and water, a shaded and air conditioned tent, a private side stage viewing area, in and out privileges, and snacks and meals provided throughout the day. The ultimate perk is access to a private, air conditioned restroom. Say goodbye to the festival portaloos!
