Louisville's Waterfront Independence Day Celebration!

If you are looking for a memorable 4th of July that the whole family will enjoy, you can’t miss this year’s Waterfront celebration! 

Patriotic Installation

The day kicks off with the Flags4Vets patriotic installation on the Great Lawn where the public are invited to help place 15,000 flags as a mark of respect for veterans and first responders.

Free Concerts with Performances 

A wide range of artists are performing for a  free, fun filled evening. Get ready to dance to some of your favorite songs with loved ones and feel the electric atmosphere of one of the biggest celebrations of the year. Acts including MojoFlo, Dr Dundiff, Jenna Dean, The Afrophysicists, and Otis Junior! 

Child Friendly Events

Bring the kiddos so they can join in on activities made just for them! The Catfish Louie Kids’ Area will be open from 5-7pm and will feature pony rides, a petting zoo, science, music, art, and many other activities.

The Louisville Fire and Police Departments will be sharing a helicopter and safety equipment display. When it comes to music DrumSmart LLC will teach both kids and adults alike how to perfect their drumming skills as well as the positive benefits of drumming. 

The Kentucky Science Center is hosting an event called Do Science! which is set to inform kids of the importance of science through exciting experiments that will captivate kids of all ages! 

Food

When it comes to food you’ll see all the Independence Day favorites from hot dogs to s’mores. The event offers Upscale festival cuisine as well as a  Coors Light Beer Garden and Old Forester Bourbon Bar, perfect for enjoying a refreshing drink with your family and friends. 

Fireworks 

Of course a 4th of July celebration wouldn’t be complete without fireworks! This year's breathtaking display is sure to astound you. The celebration will culminate in a spectacular fireworks show at 10pm. This year’s fireworks display is sure to create a sensory experience like no other!
